Joel Battle's latest offering is a mix of fist pumping but wounded heartland rock songs and lovelorn acoustic folk songs with intricate finger picking. The music is reminiscent of a time when rock heroes like Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen and members of The Travelling Wilburys ruled the airwaves. It's a great showcase of where he is at personally and as a songwriter. If you haven't heard Joel's music before this is a great place to start and surely a sign of good things to come.
